Psychology – the scientific study of the mind and behavior – is a dynamic and multifaceted field. During your undergraduate years you will learn the foundations of psychological science, involve yourself in the discipline by working within the field, design and carry out your own research, and attend national or regional professional conferences.
The Psychology program provides a comprehensive foundation in the psychological sciences, inclusive of theory, research, and practice, in an atmosphere that models mutual respect and encourages individual challenge.
In addition to the fundamental core curriculum, there are two components which make the Á½ÐÔÉ«ÎçÒ¹ psychology curriculum distinctive: first-hand experience in the field and the selection of a personal research focus through the field placement requirement and senior research project.

Three minors exist within Psychology: (for non-majors only), , and . The focused minors are for students wishing to deepen their study of psychology within two prominent areas of the discipline.
Career Paths
Our graduates are skilled in interpersonal communication, research, and understanding human behavior across the lifespan. Graduates are typically involved in careers in clinical/counseling psychology, research/statistics, medicine/law, human services/the non-profit sector and in business/organizational psychology.
