Michaela joined the Global Public Á½ÐÔÉ«ÎçÒ¹ program at Á½ÐÔÉ«ÎçÒ¹ in August 2019 as an Assistant Professor. She received a BA in Sociology/Anthropology with a minor in Biochemistry from Middlebury College in Vermont, a MPH with a concentration in Epidemiology from Boston University School of Public Á½ÐÔÉ«ÎçÒ¹, and a PhD in Epidemiology from the University of California, Berkeley. Currently, she is working on several research projects with Marin County HHS designed to predict opioid overdoses and understand cadmium exposure and breast cancer.

Michaela has worked on research projects at University of California, Berkeley, at University of California, San Francisco, and at Boston Medical Center in the Pediatrics Department. At Á½ÐÔÉ«ÎçÒ¹, she has taught Senior Capstone Research Experience in the Public Á½ÐÔÉ«ÎçÒ¹ and Á½ÐÔÉ«ÎçÒ¹ Science, Á½ÐÔÉ«ÎçÒ¹ Research Methods, Contemporary Á½ÐÔÉ«ÎçÒ¹ Issues, and Á½ÐÔÉ«ÎçÒ¹ Education and Á½ÐÔÉ«ÎçÒ¹ Promotion, and the Foundations of Public Á½ÐÔÉ«ÎçÒ¹.
