Orientation Week 2021 Starts With Move-In Day

Faculty, staff, and students welcomed new and transfer students to the Á½ÐÔÉ«ÎçÒ¹ community with a series of fun activities designed to help new students get to know each other, the Á½ÐÔÉ«ÎçÒ¹ campus, and some the many cool things to do in nearby downtown San Rafael.

Orientation 2021 began with campus move-in day on August 18. Students checked in from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. in the Conlan Recreation Center. While students were settling into the residence halls, their families and supporters were invited to attend informational sessions from 4-5:30 p.m. Sessions, which were held in English and Spanish, outlined the campus resources available to all students. Move-In Day culminated with a student mixer from 9-10:30 p.m. in the Fanjeaux Hall student union.

Orientation Week resumed August 19, with activities such as a farmer’s market and movie night then continued August 20 with events that included an ice cream social. It concluded over the weekend, August 21-22, with a shopping excursion and service and spirituality fair among the scheduled plans.

Classes for the 2021-22 academic year at Á½ÐÔÉ«ÎçÒ¹ began on Monday, August 23.
