Before her tenure at GLIDE, Gina's commitment to community service was evident in her roles with Young Community Developers, the San Francisco YMCA, and other key organizations. Her leadership philosophy emphasizing the importance of leading from behind and moving people forward together, has guided her through various impactful positions, including her time as the California State Director at The Trust for Public Land and CEO of the San Francisco Education Fund. Gina鈥檚 personal story, from relying on GLIDE's support as a young mother in the late 1980s to leading the same organization today, embodies a powerful message of hope and the possibility of breaking the cycle of poverty.
