Committed to proactive and early intervention, the CARE Team supports students directly, as well as through consultation with campus partners. When necessary, the CARE Team also assesses risk of harm to the University community and coordinates appropriate action to ensure the safety of individual students and the University at large.
CARE = Connection, Advocacy, Resources, Education
To refer a student to the CARE Team, please use the CARE Form link above. We encourage students, faculty and staff to use this form to refer any student who could benefit from additional support resources.
Students – self-referrals are welcome!
Some reasons for concern may include:
- Academic performance (ie. struggling with coursework, attendance/lateness issues, etc.)
- Á½ÐÔÉ«ÎçÒ¹ or well-being
- Unusual behavior(s)
- Other general concerns
When a referral is received, a member of the CARE Team and/or an Integrative Coach will attempt to follow up directly with the student through a variety of methods including email, phone calls, and direct outreach. We cannot guarantee success with every student, but we will work hard to contact students in a timely manner in order to give them a chance to get back on the path to success.
After Hours and Emergency Resources
CARE Team referrals are for non-emergency situations.
If a student is experiencing a medical or psychiatric crisis, or if there is an imminent safety risk, call 911 and notify Campus Security at (415) 269-6070.
